Setting Up New Digital Marketing Client In Monstrous.Digital
Adding A New User Into Monstrous
Navigate to: http://app.monstrous.digital
Login: monstrous
PW: sendible
Go to the gear in the upper right corner and select "Users" from the dropdown menu.
Then select “New User.” You will then get a popup window like the one below.
Fill this in following these instructions:
- Name or company: CLIENT NAME
- Email: THE EMAIL YOU SET UP FOR SOCIAL MEDIA
- Phone number: this can be left blank
- Username: This can be the client's name with no spaces. If they have an exceptionally long name, shorten it, but note it on the social media logins page you created.
- Password: sendible (this should always be sendible - no exceptions!)
- Permissions: Unless otherwise noted, this should always stay as "Default."
After you've filled in the Credentials tab, click on "Account" on the left-hand side of the window.
On this tab, select Client at the top, not Team Member or Admin.
In the "Managed By" dropdown box, select Monstrous.Digital.
Nothing else on this tab needs to be touched. And nothing needs to be touched/changed on "Workflow" or "Other" either.
Click on Create User to finish setting up the account. Make sure to capture the newly-created username on your Social Media Logins page.
Once you've done this and you see the new client added into the Users list, log out of the main Monstrous account and log into the newly-created client account. If for some reason you run into an issue with logging in, log back into the main Monstrous account (monstrous / sendible) and update the password again to "sendible." Then try logging in as the Client again.
Adding Services To Your New User Account
Once you're logged in as the Client, it's time to add in social networks to their account.
On the top toolbar, hover over Services and select "Add Services" from the dropdown that appears.
Depending on which accounts you’ve set up, you can now add them in here.
You will be automatically on the “Popular” Services page in Monstrous. Chances are, you’ll be using these tiles only. If you need to find others, you can navigate through the options on the right-hand side of the screen.
Please note that Pinterest is no longer supported by Monstrous.Digital/Sendible (because it’s no longer considered a “social networking site”) so those are considered manual posts.
Also, any Instagram accounts will need to be switched to business profiles, then pulled into the FB page for that client in order to do posting through Monstrous.

Setting up the link shortener in Monstrous.Digital
In order to shorten links through Monstrous.Digital, OMG uses Goo.gl. However, bit.ly is the default shortener and is glitchy. We need to change this manually. This can be done after setting up the client and either before/after setting up the services in Monstrous.
So, when you are logged in as the Client… Click on the gear in the upper right-hand corner.
Select “Preferences” in the dropdown menu.
On the right-hand navigation that appears, click on Publishing Preferences.
In the Default URL shortener, select “goo.gl” in the dropdown menu.
Enter the OMG Google API key - AIzaSyBIhSzE4oi1G0Ua1flZZoGlsDBHG3l5ZKo
Click Save.
Now your links on your social media posts will automatically be shortened.
