What’s Up Omaha: Memorial Weekend Events in Omaha

If you’re looking for some fun things to do in Omaha this Memorial Weekend, look no further!  Omaha is full of family-friendly and date-worthy Memorial Weekend events!

The Salute to Summer Festival in La Vista is taking place from Friday, May 25th through Sunday, May 28th.  Formerly known as La Vista Daze, this celebration includes a parade, cookout, carnival, fireworks, and more!

If you're looking for some laughs this weekend, be sure to check out the Omaha Improv Fest!  This festival is all about learning from the best, performing, and watching improv!  We think this sounds like a total blast!  Shows start Thursday, May 25th and continue throughout the weekend!  Be sure to check it out!

If you're looking to add a little live music to your weekend, Loessfest is happening in Council Bluffs, Iowa!  This celebration has it all!  Live music, a half marathon and 5k race, a bicycle ride, fireworks and more!  This is always a great time on the East side of the Missouri river!

Benson will be booming for sure this weekend with their Memorial Day Massive Block Party!  They're closing down the streets to party with a ton of live music!  Be sure to check out this fun time!

Lastly, if you feel like you need to get some exercise over the weekend, be sure to sign up for the Boys Town National Research Hospital Memorial Day Run!  Kids and adults are welcomed to participate in one of three race options!  400-meter fun run, 1-mile, and 5-mile walk/run races!  This race supports the Center for Childhood Deafness.
