Kyle Kruske

First and foremost, I’m someone who has a deep love for film, music and all things art-related. There wasn’t a lot to do in the small Nebraska town I grew up in, so I dove completely into this passion. I was constantly listening to whatever music I was obsessed with at the time, and the movie theater in the next town over essentially became a second home to me. 

These days, I could talk your ear off about the latest Star Wars show just as easily as this year’s frontrunners at the Oscars. If you’re looking for someone to have an in-depth conversation with about the various filmmaking techniques at work in the newest films from Denis Villeneuve or Martin McDonagh, I’m your guy.

I am also constantly pushing myself to expand my taste in music. In turn, that means that I can usually be found with at least one headphone in and jamming to anything and everything from Carole King to Gojira and Denzel Curry to Blink-182. Above all though is my personal favorite, King Gizzard and the Wizard Lizard, who are likely to be my most-listened to artist on Spotify from now until the end of time.

I am a detail-oriented person who finds immense joy in writing, reading and editing. I’m fascinated by the countless directions that language and communication can be approached from. I graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2021 with degrees in Journalism and Film Studies. Here at MMG, it’s my job to comb through essentially everything that we write to ensure that it is as engaging, clear and concise as can be.
