Margot Schmid launched Conversations in 1990 with a dream: To go beyond the ordinary and offer exceptional, unusual, hard-to-find home furnishings, accessories and gifts.  Through the years, the eclectic corner shop in Rockbrook Village gained a loyal clientele in the Omaha area and beyond.  Margot Schmid launched Conversations in 1990 with a dream: To go beyond the ordinary and offer exceptional, unusual, hard-to-find home furnishings, accessories and gifts.  Through the years, the eclectic corner shop in Rockbrook Village gained a loyal clientele in the Omaha area and beyond.  In 2000 daughter Stacey left the corporate world to join her mother's expanding business.  Son Darrin came on board in 2013 to help launch their company's website, shopconversations.com.  Now, discriminating shoppers from coast-to-coast can view and purchase many of our items with a simple click and have them shipped right to their homes.

When looking for a strong e-commerce provider Stacey and Darrin found themselves on our doorstep and we were happy to welcome them to the MMG family. It is no secret, e-commerce comes second nature to us so we were excited to jump on board with the goal of creating shopconversations.com an e-commerce portal to allow customers to shop the Conversations store without having to be physically present. Conversations inventory management proved to be a very large project but with some careful planning and a lot of hard work the digital inventory was created and the store is now about to be launched live. 

This site is powered by MMG's own core CMS software with ties into external services like UPS and FEDEX for shipping, Facebook and Twitter for social networking, and of course emailContactor.com for everything list and campaign management.
