The Need:
Alkar Billiards operates across three locations—Core, Lincoln, and Omaha—with each store offering a full line of premium hot tubs, swim spas, massage chairs, and billiards tables. Their previous websites were disjointed, inconsistent in design, and difficult to update. Promotions couldn’t be easily synced across locations, product listings were outdated, and managing content required developer intervention for even basic changes.
Alkar needed a solution that allowed each store to maintain its unique identity while benefiting from a shared system for updates, promotions, and content. They also needed an approach that improved performance across mobile and desktop devices, boosted local SEO, and made inventory browsing more intuitive for customers.
The Solution:
MMG rebuilt all three websites using MonsterWP—our managed WordPress platform designed for speed, scalability, and ease of use. We developed a unified design system to ensure brand consistency while tailoring each site for its respective location. Using WooCommerce as the base engine, we created flexible product templates with filtering, promotional sections, and seasonal landing pages.
Behind the scenes, we implemented shared styling and a streamlined CMS experience that empowered Alkar’s staff to update product listings, run local sales, and manage content without technical support. Local SEO enhancements were applied to each site individually, optimizing visibility in Google Maps, localized searches, and product-specific queries.
We also integrated seasonal landing pages (like Memorial Day and Black Friday promotions), Popup Maker for in-site promotions, and tools for ongoing maintenance via our MonsterWP plan.
The Result:
Alkar now manages three high-performing sites with a single strategy and streamlined toolkit. Each store has the freedom to run unique promotions while benefiting from MMG’s centralized design system and MonsterWP performance optimization.
